# Biography
Antonín Kindl *(b. 2000, Czech Republic)* works with new media and installations. He builds custom electronic systems that sense and interpret their environment, turning machines into organisms that observe, react, and sometimes make mistakes. His ongoing research deals with perception, feedback, and the question of what it means for a machine to see.
He studied at the *[Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava](https://www.vsvu.sk/en/),* where he completed his *MA* at *[MediaLab](https://www.vsvu.sk/en/departments/department-of-visual-communication/studio-multimedia/),* and also spent a semester at the *[Image and Media Department at HKU Utrecht](https://www.hku.nl/en/study-at-hku/media/image-and-media-technology).* His diploma project *[[System]] (2025)* investigated autonomous machines and agency in machine behavior. His earlier works, such as *[[Receptor]] (2023)* and *[[Synapse]] (2024),* defined a consistent line of research into interactivity, processes of perception, and their materialization in space.
He won *Signal Calling 2025* with *[[OKO]],* an installation fabricated in collaboration with *PrusaLab (Prusa Research)* and presented at *Signal Festival in Prague.* Other work has been shown at *Biela noc (Bratislava), Prototyp festival (Brno)*, and various exhibitions or events across central Europe. He recently completed a residency at *V2_ Lab for the Unstable Media (Rotterdam)* and has taught multimedia at a secondary school of applied arts.
